Welcome to Sandhurst Farm Forge
A Working Forge and Bed and Breakfast run by Charles and Kate Dickinson
Charles is a professional blacksmith who uses a coke forge and anvil to produce functional and ornamental ironwork to an extremely high standard. These days he is moving away from the large amount of commissioned work which he has done in order to focus more on his own original artistic pieces, experimenting with a mixed media approach, incorporating stone, wood, ceramics and textiles.
Our Bed & Breakfast accommodation is in a converted stable block and offers our guests an ideal country retreat to relax in. Explore the local way of life, sample the many quality eating places that the Faversham area is renowned for, and exercise in the fresh air by following one of our many walking routes, to suit your fitness level. Sandhurst Farm Forge and Bed and Breakfast is a tourism business with a concern for the environment. We always have small projects on the go, currently restocking our chicken coops and growing our pond which is now fairly well established with loads of frogs and newts!! Please look at Sandhurst Farm Forge on facebook to keep up with what is happening.
Set in beautiful wooded countryside within the North Kent Downs, midway between Faversham and Sittingbourne, we have easy access to the A2/M2 making a visit to Canterbury or Rochester only 30 minutes away. Leeds Castle and Junction 8 of the M20 is a 20 minute journey. Faversham Station gives main line access to London St Pancras or Victoria, Canterbury and the Kent Coast. We are just one hour's drive from London or the Channel Tunnel and the coast making us an ideal stopover for a trip to Europe.
