Charlie and Kate Dickinson welcome you to Sandhurst Farm Forge.
Rural accomodation on our working forge----we earn our living as a traditional blacksmith.Our Bed and Breakfast is provided in a converted stable block allowing guests the freedom to come and go at leisure.
There are two double rooms ,both with bed settee allowing for use as a twin,or a child under 14 to share.Both rooms are shower ensuite,have TV and are centrally heated.Tea and coffee are available in your room or in the adjoining kitchen /breakfast room.
Please note we are a non smoking B&B.Children are welcome ,but due to the nature of the separate rooms they should be over 14 years of age unless sharing by use of the bed settee.
A cot and highchair is also available.

Our Countryside
We are to be found within the North Kent Chalk Downs,an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Ideally situated behind the villages of Newnham and Doddington for walking and exploring the Kent countryside. Our Market Town of Faversham is only 15 mins away ,and the North Kent Coast and Whitstable 30mins.
Most of our countryside is made up of coppiced woodland,arable crops and fruit.Livestock farming including sheep and cows,and of course many wonderful footpaths.
There is easy access to the M2,M20(M25) not on the doorstep, but all reachable within 15- 30 mins, making a trip to the Channel or London about one hour.
Accessibility Information
As accomodation is in a converted stableblock all rooms are ground floor.However the gravel driveway may impede movement.
Directions
By Car--
M20--Leave M20 at Junction 8 (signed Lenham) and take the A20 to Lenham.At crossroads on the A20 at Lenham turn left into Faversham Road up onto the downs-signposted Doddington.Follow for approx. 4 1/2 miles to drop down into the village of Doddington.Take the second turn on your right (opposite the butchers) into Hopes Hill.Follow this through woods for approx 1 mile.Turn right at the T-Junction onto Seed Road.We are the 3rd property on the right with our Blacksmiths Billboard at top of driveway
M2--Leave the M2 at Faversham (Junct 6)and take the A2 towards Sittingbourne,through Ospringe and over the roundabout At the bottom of the hill opposite old stone chapel turn left to Newnham.Onreaching Newnham village The George is on your right.Turn left opposite the George,into Seed Road,at the side of the church. Continue up Seed Road approx1 mile,out into open countryside. Ignore right turn to Doddington.We are then the third property on the right.C.W Dickinson Blacksmith
By Rail---
Main Line Station at Faversham. We can arrange to pick you up, as it is about 5/6 miles to walk from Faversham. Please make sure that you contact us nearer your stay to let us know your time of arrival at Faversham Station.
Tarrif
Double Room--From £75.00per room per night(inclusive of breakfasts)
Single Occupancy--From £45.00 per night (inclusive of breakfast)
Child(under 14) sharing by use of bed settee--£10.00 extra ie.£80.00 per room per night (inclusive of breakfasts)
Conditions
We are a non smoking B&B. Children are welcome but due to the nature of the separate rooms children should be over 14 years of age. No hen or stags. Pets are not allowed. Check in 13:00 and check out 10:30.
Booking Terms and Cancellations
A "Booking " means any order for our products or services on this site that is accepted by us.
Acceptance will be made by us(and a contract concluded when we have received a deposit payment of one night for each room from you.
There is no agent involved in this booking process,the contract is concluded between you as the customer and us as the business.
Refunds and Cancellations.:
For cancellations made outside of 7 days ,a full refund will be made.
For cancellations made within 7 days, no refund will be made.
To make a cancellation, you will be required to call us on 01795 886854. Please ensure you have your credit/debit cards handy in order that we can arrange for the refund(where applicable) to be made.If you paid by cheque,your refund (where applicable ) will be by cheque.
Payment:
A Full deposit payment of one nights stay per room is required at the time of booking.
